Day 1 Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erg Chebbi Dunes.
In the first day of 5 Days fes to marrakech desert tour With our driver, we will pick you up from your hotel in Fes early in the morning and proceed to the south of Morocco. In Ifrane, or the Switzerland of Morocco, we will stop to enjoy its beauty and have memorable photos. Afterwards, we will head toward Azrou to see the monkeys in the cedar forest before continuing to Midelt for a local lunch meal in a restaurant. In the afternoon, we will cross the pass of Tizi-Ntalghamt to reach Er-Rachidia while admiring the views of Ziz gorges. Later on, we will have a stop for a panoramic view of Ziz valley. The driver continues to Erg Chebbi Dunes passing by Aoufous and Erfoud where we may want to visit a local fossil craft workshop. After that, we will continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi or Merzouga Dunes. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 2 Merzouga – Hassi Labied – Khamlia – Nomad family – fossil Site – Tour of the dunes
In the morning after breakfast in the hotel, we will have a tour in the dunes on 4×4 allowing us to visit the black volcanic rocks of fossils. Then we will visit a nomad family living in a tent to grasp some moments of their native lifestyle. After that in Khamlia village, we will go for our appointment with the Spiritual Desert-type of Gnawa music originating from Sub Saharan civilizations. Later, we will visit the lake Dayte Sarji that forms in springtime. This lake attracts pink flamingos and wildlife. We will have a lunch break in Merzouga or Hassi Labied. After lunch, we will see the canal irrigation system, or the veins of the desert, to have a walk in the oasis located on the toes of the dunes. In our hotel, we will have some rest and maybe few jumps in the clear pool. Few hours later, we will be on a friendly camel following his human friend to appreciate the colourful sunset. We will arrive to the camp for an overnight in a traditional nomad tent. Under the Milky Way and the Pole stars and in the middle of the dunes we will have Dinner.
Day 3 Erg Chebbi Dune-Erfoud-Tinejdad-Todra Gorges-Boumalne Dades
We will wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dune in the Sahara Desert then have our locally prepared breakfast. After these beautiful moments, we will ride our camel back to the hotel for a warm shower. We will set off towards Tinghir passing by Erfoud and Tinejdad to have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to Todra gorges via Tinghir. Stopping along the way for photos and admiring the views, our arrival will be in Todra Gorges where we will hike on foot to enjoy its marvellous canyons views. Later on, we will drive to Boumalne Dades and stop for a panoramic view of Dades valley. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 Boumalne Dades-Boutghrar-Valley of Roses-Kelaa M’gouna-Ouarzazate.
This morning after breakfast in the hotel, we will depart to Ouarzazate via Boutaghrar, Kalaat M’gouna and Skoura. We will visit the Dades Gorges with its beautiful rock formations. Later on, we will take the road that leads to nomad families living in caves. Our break will be with a nomad family to sip a cup of tea in their shelter. Later on, we will proceed our path and drive along the Valley of Roses to reach Kalaat M’gouna where we will enjoy our lunch. In the afternoon, we will drive to Skoura and visit the 17th century Kasbah of Ameridil. The journey ends in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight in a hotel..
Day 5 Ouarzazate-Ait benhaddou -Tizi N’tichka Pass- High Atlas Mounatins-Marrakech.
In the morning after breakfast in the hotel, we will have time to see the Kasbah of Taourirt then another photo stop near the Atlas Film Studios: a world-class studio hosted the filming of many famous movies such as Lawrence Arabia. After that, you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the village. In the Afternoon, we will continue to the yellowish-brown city of Marrakech, the city kneeling to the mountains of the High Atlas. To reach this mystical city we will have to pass through the Tizi Ntichka pass (2260 m in altitude). In our arrival to Marrakech, we will drop you off in your address provided earlier.
