3 Days from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga

Journey Fes to Marrakech in 3 days and 2 nights cruising south of Morocco sahara magic dunes / Excursion to sahara erg chebbi starting from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1 : Fes (Fez) » Ifrane » Azrou Cedar forest » Midelt » Merzouga desert Sahara (Camel trek & Night in Desert Camp) [468 km]

The 3 days tour from Fes to Marrakech with departure from Fez to the desert crossing the Middle Atlas and passing through the national park known for cedar forests where the famous Berber monkeys are found. Then we will go through the Ziz Valley that will lead us to Erfoud, known for its fossils.

Arrival to Merzouga Sahara desert where we will change the 4WD by camels with which we will take a pleasant walk of approximately one hours and half through the dunes of Erg Chebbi until we reach the desert camp in the heart of the desert where we will be welcomed (according to the Sahara tradition) with a Berber tea. Night in tent under the stars of the desert.

Day 2 : Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert » Todra gorge » Dades gorge [266 km]

Today we will see the sunrise over the sea of dunes. After breakfast we will return in camels to Merzouga and after a shower we will leave in 4WD towards Tinghir “the city of the mountain” in Tamazight, another beautiful Berber village where we will delight with the contrast of their palm trees and the peculiar color of their houses. route where the landscape shows its contrasts.
We are in the gorges of Todra formed by rock walls of more than 200m and after visiting them, we will go to the Dades Valley, a Berber village famous for its high gorges and its views over the Atlas, now on the horizon. Night in riad with charm.

Day 3 : Dades gorge » Valley of Roses » Ouarzazate » Aït BenHaddou » Marrakech (Marrakesh) [325 km]

We will cross the Valley of the Dades and the Valley of the Roses, until arriving at Ouarzazate, where we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and after 25 km of road we will see the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared World Heritage by UNESCO famous for being the scenario of cinematographic blockbusters like the Oscar-winning “Lawrence of Arabia”, “The Protective Sky” or “Babel”.
We will follow the road through the port of Tichka will lead us again to the “Red City”, Marrakech and here you can say goodbye to our driver/guide.
