Day 1 Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen
We will greet you at the airport of Mohammed V then drive to the center of Casablanca where you will see the Hassan II Mosque, the largest outside of Mecca and experience the coastal “Cornish” seaside. Afterwards, we will leave to Chefchaouen “the blue city”, where you will spend the night in a Riad.
Day 2 Chefchaouen- Fes.
You’ll have free Morning to explore the magic and the blue streets of Chefchaouen. Also, Its Kasbah, which is located in the heart of the town and see the whole town from one of its towers. Besides, a place called Rass el Maa, where people gather and have fun enjoying the nature. After lunch in a local restaurant, we will drive to Fes, which is the cultural city of Morocco. The night will be in a Riad inside the walls of the old Medina.
Day 3 Full day exploring Fes.
Breakfast in your riad, then start exploring the old medina of Fes where you will visit the hidden treasures that only the inhabitants of the place know about. You will have a chance to visit Alkarawyine univercity, which is the oldest spiritual university in the world, Molay Idriss mausoleum, the Nejjarine Fountains and the Tanneries. After lunch you will view the exterior of the Royal Palace Gate and walk through the famous Jewish quarter “the Mellah”. Your tour of Fes also includes a short visit to the famous ceramic factory, then enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. Overnight accommodation at your riad.
Day 4 Fes – Merzouga
In the morning we will go into the mountains to a region known as Imouzzer, which is blanketed by forests of cedar, juniper and cork oak. The area is well known for having abundant wildlife and we may see many types of birds, wild boar and Barbary apes on our scenic drive. Then the road will start climb into the Middle Atlas Mountains where we may see the slopes dotted by the tents and goat herds of nomadic Berbers who call this rugged region home. After late lunch in Midelt, we continue on mountain roads overlooking the wide flowing Oued Ziz. Passing Kasbahs and palm groves we pass through the adobe colored city of Er-Rachidia and arrive in the late afternoon to Merzouga, city on the outskirts of the Sahara Desert where we will spend the night.
Day 5 Fes- Azrou- Midelt- Ziz Valley- Merzouga Desert.
After breakfast in your riad, we will leave towards the south-east of Morocco. During this journey you’ll have a chance to stop in Ifrane which is “The Switzarland of Morocco”then continue to the biggest Cedar forest in Africa, where you will see Barbarian apes. After lunch in Midelt, we will head toward Sahara desert crossing high atlas mountains. Afterwards, We will reach Ziz valley, famous for date cultivation. Finally, we’ll arrive your hotel in Merzouga.
Day 6 Oasis- Nomads-Gnawa Music- Camel trek and overnight in Berber tent.
After breakfast, we will drive to a Oasis, where we’ll discover an Underground Irrigation System then Drive alongside Sand dunes till we arrive nomads where we’ll share a cup of tea with them and figure out how they live in the Sahara desert. Afterwards, we will visit some mines of Barite, Cobalt and Lead. Also, we’ll have a chance to try Berber Pizza in Khamlia village and listen to Gnawa music. Finally, you will ride camels to a desert camp, where you will have your dinner and a lovely night under a starry sky.
Day 7 Merzouga Desert- Erfoud- Todra valley and gorge- Dades valley.
Early in the morning, your camel guide will wake you up to watch the best sunrise in your life then ride back the camels to the village of Merzouga where you will have shower and breakfast. Afterwards, we’ll leave to Erfoud (which is the capital of fossils) then to Tinghir where we’ll enjoy one of the magnificent valleys in the south-east of Morocco which is Todra valley and drive alongside it till we get to Todra gorge where you will walk inside cliffs of 300 m. Finally, we will drive to Dades valley where our hotel is located.
Day 8 Marrakech
After breakfast, we will take the road of “One thousand kasbahs” to the Roses Valley and the big Skoura palm grove. Later on, we`ll get to Ouarzazate which is the “Hollywood of Africa” there where we’ll stop in the center to enjoy Taourirt Kasbah from outside. Half an hour from Ouarzazate, we will be at ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit the famous Kasbahs (declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1987). Famous films have been shot in this spectacular stage, including Gladiator , Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penélope Cruz…etc. Free time for lunch in town. Afterwards, we will cross High Atlas mountains with stops to see Berber villages and different landscapes till we arrive Marrakech.
Day 9 Exploring Marrakech.
After breakfast in the riad, you can start exploring Marrakech with a local guide, ” the red city of Morocco”. We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, Ben Youssef Madrassa the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palacel. After Lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. On the afternoon, you will have some free time to wonder by yourself the other parts of the city.
